Ladies Auxiliary

Our Ladies Auxiliary consists of approximately 60 members ranging in age from 16 to 94. We are fortunate to have the experience and dedication of quite a few Life Members. These ladies have been a part of the organization for at least 25 years. We are very glad to be able to support the firefighters by working at the public dinners, helping with the annual carnival and running a food stand during the weekly bingo. Other fundraisers include a bake sale during the carnival and making hoagies for Election Day. We then donate these funds to be used for firematic purchases and building improvements. A few of our most recent donations have been used to purchase an AED for the fire station and road signs for the Fire Police to be used for traffic control. In February of 2006 $5,000 was donated towards the purchase of a new 2,500 gallon Tanker expected to arrive in the fall. We also have many fun activities including a picnic in September, a Christmas party and our anniversary potluck in March. The auxiliary is always looking for new members to join us and participate in the activities. We also would appreciate the donation of baked goods for use in the Bingo kitchen or at the carnival bake sale.

May – Annual Memorial Day Carnival, Helping in the company Food Stands, Bake Sale, Building the float for Saturday’s Parade.

Membership

Membership Dues are $2.00 per year and membership is open to all ladies of the community. We only ask that you have the desire to serve the community. Many of our members live outside of Boalsburg and are still very active in our organization.
